Inter-University Preliminary Project for Enhancing Information and IT Security
The cross-university preliminary project to increase information and IT security (UVI-Sec for short) represents a milestone in cross-university cooperation in the field of digitalization. For the first time, the 22 public universities are jointly carrying out a cybersecurity project. The aim is to strengthen resilience to cyber attacks across the board and increase information and IT security at Austrian universities, as well as to leverage synergy potential in the collaboration.

The core project team consisting of:
- Project manager
- Members of the ARGE Secur
- External experts for information and IT security
Activities to date
As part of the project, workshops were held, a maturity level analysis was carried out and measures and an implementation plan were developed. A joint security baseline was also defined. Participation on the part of the universities is very high.
