DigiOmics4Austria

A digital infrastructure for small molecules

The collection of clinical date and the analysis of health-relevant substances are important ressources in biomedical research. Current studies however show that the lack of possibilities to compare the collected data causes immense costs, about 800 m. EUR worldwide.

The goal of DigiOmics4Austria is to provide a database that records data obtained from human samples for small molecules (endogenous metabolites etc.), quantifies them and enables conclusions to be drawn about the state of human health and environmental influences. This facilitates the development of a better understanding of diseases and new treatment approaches.
