Digital TU Graz Marketplace
The "Digital TU Graz Marketplace" is a participatory innovation and funding programme from TU Graz, which supports digital transformation in areas of teaching, research, and administration as part of the "Digital TU Graz" strategic project.
Technology-supported innovation projects for the university are promoted and (further) developed in a participatory, systematically supported process in the Digital TU Graz Marketplace. As in a marketplace, the main goal is to encourage different (university) actors to interact and communicate with one another. Researchers, teachers, students, and administrative staff are regularly invited to submit proposals for pilot projects to address problems that they have observed. Projects selected by a panel of experts are then monitored and supported by the Marketplace Innovation Team.
The objective of the innovation programme is to sustainably transfer innovative research ideas and prototypes into the daily university life by encouraging interested stakeholder groups to exchange ideas (in a co-creation process). Therefore, the Marketplace takes a design-oriented and participatory, bottom-up perspective of digital innovation and transformation. This means that the innovation programme involves a continuous iterative and collaborative process to develop or adapt digital innovations and then to embed them in the underlying university practices and processes.
