Cutting-edge Education Programmes
The "Cutting-edge Education Programmes" are online educational offers that can be found on the e-learning platform edx.org. These programmes have been specially designed for target groups in the industry sector, but also to attract the attention of international students and to raise their interest in TU Graz. The programmes have several objectives: to contribute to global profile building and positioning in strategically selected topics, as well as to increase the global visibility and reputation of TU Graz. In addition, new cooperations and international partnerships will be created, and partners for new research projects and on-campus offers will be found.
Course Overview
Electromagnetic Compatibility Essentials
The course "Electromagnetic Compatibility Essentials" offers all interested participants a diverse and simple introduction to the complex topic of electromagnetic compatibility. It comprises numerous learning videos which were recorded just for this course, varying animations, and interactive elements that participants can use to review the learning objectives. The course explores the following question: How do technical devices influence each other through (unwanted) electromagnetic effects? A basic knowledge of electrical engineering is required. Access to all course materials is free of charge; a course certificate can also be provided. It is possible to register for the course via the edX website.
Cybersecurity Courses
The Cutting-edge Education Programme sets another milestone by providing an innovative TU Graz online learning offer on the hot topic of cyber-security. More information about the offer can be found on edX.org, and the courses will be fully available from April 11, 2023, and on. These courses, "Side-Channel Security: Developing a Side-Channel Mindset" and "Introduction to Software Side Channels and Mitigations" , offer access to essential information in a way that is sure to entertain – as a sitcom – but that also enables you to correctly assess the security of systems and software. No prior technical knowledge is required for the first course, meaning that this continuing education programme is not only suitable for computer scientists, but for anyone who is interested in the subject and can spare two to three hours a week. Those who would like to deepen their knowledge can complete two additional course programmes or the complete six-course package.
