KnowledgeCheckR is an artificial intelligence-based system that can be used to create, maintain, distribute, and review information. KnowledgeCheckR can perform fully automated exam supervision – even with many participants. The fully automated exam supervision covers several aspects and provides course instructors with valuable information. For example, if students start other programs during the exam, if they answer complex questions more rapidly than simpler questions, or if the randomly taken photos of students in the exam display anomalies. In addition, KnowledgeCheckR also enables instructors and students to communicate with one another, so that the entire exam process can occur smoothly.

But KnowledgeCheckR can be used for more than just exams. When they are in the practice mode, students can test their knowledge by answering personalised, ranked questions and receiving feedback on their answers. Taking a playful approach – keyword "gamification" – specifically motivates and encourages students to continuously engage with relevant content throughout the course. In addition, if they want, students can compare their own level of knowledge with that of their fellow students.

KnowledgeCheckR was introduced in 2021 as a new tool that can be used when holding online examinations at TU Graz, and it will continue to be available to all TU Graz lecturers after a successful "trial period".
