Digital Skills, Knowledge & Communication

for medical students

The goal of this project is to consider all necessary teaching content, modules, and measures used at the partner universities in their medical studies in order to provide optimal training for future physicians in the areas of "Digital Skills, Knowledge & Communication (DSKC)". DSKC is understood as referring not only to the use of computers or computer-controlled devices per se – something that students of future generations will already be expected to learn as part of their general education – but also as referring to deeper knowledge about the basic digitalisation features and processes in medicine. In addition, students should also be taught how to use digital media and to apply these tools in the daily medical practice. However, acquiring knowledge and skills needed to use digitalisation in medicine is also intrinsically linked to acquiring the matching communicative digital skills, which will enable them to communicate with patients appropriately.
